Equitable access to clean water, safe sanitation and hygiene are essential for every individual. AM Foundation focusses on health projects that provides access to clean drinking water and educating the rural masses on efficient water recycling and management.
AM Foundation engaged Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) to identify villages not having access to drinking water facilities and devise suitable facilities. IIT Madras has identified and designed a water management system to address the needs of three villages in Vilangadupakkam panchayat in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu. Preliminary approval has been obtained and AM Foundation awaits the final approval from the Government for implementing the above project. Budgeted Project Cost – Rs.1.75 crores (USD 0.25 million).
